Mile 1,477.9 - 1,501.6

Poison oak is the headline for today's post. It was everywhere along the trail this morning . It would be a miracle if we don't get it. We have to watch every step not to touch it and that gets old fast.

We met up with 2 section hikers named Big foot Jim and Structure. We were very impressed because they are 69 & 77 years old. I can only hope I have the ability to hike at that age. Pretty impressive.
We are in a whole new group of hikers now. We have met up with Scorpion, Grok, Masshole, Tick Tock, Dewey, and we are even back with our buddy Sizzler.
Again we had a hard time finding a camping spot because we were on a hillside. We finally found one with a great view of Mt. Shasta.

Poison oak, we hate you. Scared to death really. Balance got poison ivy on the AT and it was horrible.

Bigfoot Jim, 69 years old, and Structure, 77 year old. They are hiking a 400 mile section of the PCT and finish tomorrow.

We have been walking around Mt. Shasta for days now.

After a 10 mile waterless stretch we came across this nice spring.

We have hiked 1,500 miles of the PCT. it's just incredible to think back on all we have gone through to get here. Even more incredible to think of all still to come.
