Mile 1,912.2 - 1,931.6

No rush leaving Shelter Cove this morning. Our plan is to eat breakfast near the lake and in the sun. Can you believe it? We want the sun now. At least in the early morning, as they are beginning to get cold.
We didn't get hiking until after 9am today, but it was nice to have a relaxing morning for a change. From the Shelter Cove Resort we walked the road for 2 miles until we hit the junction with the PCT. We had two long climbs today and passed many lakes.
We crossed paths with a few southbounders, whom we swapped stories with. As evening came, we camped at Charlton Lake.

Eating breakfast at Shelter Cove this morning.

Balance at the Shelter Cove store where we bought some snacks.

Rosary Lake.

Bobby Lake, our lunch spot.

Y-Knot at camp, looking a little weathered. I think this trip has taken years off my life. Maybe all the aches and pains will go away once we stop walking 25 miles everyday. All kidding aside, we are doing well and feeling strong.

  1. I think it will actually add years to your life, Mike, when all is said and done. :)
