We had the all-you-can-eat salad bar at the restaurant. Then we wobbled over to the showers, then laundry. Once clean, we resupplied from both the store and our food box that we sent ourselves from Kennedy Meadows.
With cooler temps in the evening, we decided to hike out a few more miles before dark.
Just after setting up our tent, a big thunderstorm blew in with heavy rain, loud thunder, and lightening. Glad we were set up and in camp already. Maybe this is a good thing for all the wildfires out there. It's been very dry.
We walked through a large burn area from a previous wildfire. It's a desolate area.
This has been a common sight. Fallen trees across the trail. It's an enormous effort to keep the trail clear. We always thank any trail workers we see.
Y-Knot entering Crater Lake National Park. I believe this is our 5th National Park. Neither of us has visited Crater Lake before, so we are excited.
