Mile 370.6 - 392.0

Live oaks along the trail. It's not often we have a section like this.

Lamel Spring. This is a very small spring with wire cage to keep out animals. We needed water here so we used a scoop to get water to filter. Hard to tell by the photo but the water was cold and fresh.

Balance filtering water at Lamel Spring. We use a squeeze filter. We fill our water bag and squeeze the bag so the dirt water goes through the filter and into our clean bottle to drink.

Our trail up the 9,300 foot Baden-Powell mountain. What a day of climbing! Over 6,000 feet in elevation. One of our hardest days of hiking.

Y-Knot on the summit of Baden-Powell. It was a 4 mile climb to summit this.

Amazing views from over 9,000 feet.

This section had many trees down across the trail.

  1. Ugh, no one likes downed trees. Looks like and old burn, tho, which makes sense--lots of trees falling for years after a burn.
