Balance rock hopping at Deep Creek. We took a two hour siesta here. Shoes off, feet in water, and rested in the shade eating lunch.

Y-Knot checking his pulse. Yup, still alive. This heat is killing us though. You can just make out our trail behind me.

After a 21 mile day of hiking, it time to say good night. We camped with "Sizzler", who cowboy camped. We like the tent with the mesh screen because the bugs are starting to come out.
Glad to hear that Y-Knot still has a pulse!! Man, the heat is plainly more fierce than anything we can imagine [sitting home on a chilly day, with cold wind out of the north, and the spring flowers nearly freezing at night].
