Mile 352.6 - 370.6

Y-Knot's shadow in the early am.

Our trail off on the right. It may not look it but this was an endless climb. We started climbing at 3pm yesterday and didn't finish until 11am today.

San Andreas Fault is in the middle of the valley below. We hiked across it yesterday.

Just outside Guffy Campground. We didn't stay there though. Too early in the day.

The PCT is not always a road. Just a short section before it made its way back to a single track trail.

Our resupply in the town of Wrightwood. It was a pretty easy 5 mile hitch into town. We got our food for the next 4 to 5 days and hitched back to the trail to camp for the night. We always repackage our food to make it all fit into our bags. We did this at a nice grassy town park.

Just after getting a ride back to the trail after town. Y-Knot watching the sun get lower on the horizon and the temperature  drop.

Our camping spot for the night. We are camping tonight with our hiking friend "Stubbing"

  1. I like the grassy re-packing spot. Green grass must feel so good after all the desert dust and grit. Crossing the San Andreas Fault is also pretty cool.
