Mile 870.0 - 893.2

Today's 23 miles were full of ups and downs, literally. Again we had another pass to climb. Silver pass is 10,700' and had a long ascent to reach the summit. We thought the passes were coming to a close but there are still many more to hike.
We are both exhausted from the rough terrain we are going through here on the PCT / JMT. The Sierras are amazing but also very tiring to hike.
We are running low on food so tomorrow we hope to hitch or bus into Mammoth Lakes to spend the night, rest, recover, and resupply.

Blooming beauties.

We actually had a nice section of trees that lined the trail. Reminded us of the AT.

Silver Pass in the distance. It was a 6 mlle climb to the top.

The high lakes are all full of water from the snow melt. Silver Pass didn't have much snow on the trail.

From atop Silver Pass.

After descending Silver Pass we had another climb to hike, but no name on this one.

Balance rock hops her way over the water. We are constantly fording, rock hopping, or fallen log balancing our way over the hundreds of rivers and streams that cross the PCT.
