Mile 718.7. - 738.2

Balance filtering water at Cow Creek. Not much of a flow but enough to get a few liters and move on.

At Cow Creek we used a scoop to get water from a small pool of water. The flow wasn't enough to fill our water bag.

We could tell today that we were finally out of the desert. The temperature was cooler and the elevations higher. We climbed to 10,700' today. We are starting to see snow capped mountains in the distance.

Y-Knot likes to climb these rock scrambles.

Finally in some tall trees. This makes our break spots easier to find than in the desert with no shade at all. Here come the Sierras.
