Mile 2,392.9 - 2,401.7

We woke happily to bright sunshine on the mountains of Mirror Lake. The bad thing is that we are only hiking 9 miles today to Snoqualmie Pass. We are taking a nero today, resuppling and resting before heading out again tomorrow. Another bad thing is that tomorrow it is going to rain in the afternoon and evening. That means setting up camp in the rain again and we just did that a day ago. On a positive note, the long range weather forecast looks mostly sunny and warm. Here in Washington State, the weather is all hikers talk about. Both Balance and I have umbrellas in hopes of staying drier when the weather turns wet.

We made it to Snoqualmie Pass around 11am and ate lunch with our hiking friend "Dewey". We have crossed another milestone, the 2,400 mile mark. Just 260 miles to go. That's 260 tough, possibly very wet miles to go. It's still the same plan we have had since the start. One day at a time. Think small and just be concerned with today, and worry about tomorrow when it gets here.

What a difference in attitude when the sun is shining.

Balance spotted this spider web just off the trail.

Balance burried in vegetation.

Balance hikes down the ski slope to Snoqualmie Pass.

Our hiking friend "Dewey" heading towards Snoqualmie Pass and real food to eat. Dewey came by us stating that he was starving.
