Mile 2,332.5 - 2,350.1

It was hard to pack up and get hiking this morning. Our cabin last night was more like a full size house, with room for a small army. Rosemary once again made us a power egg breakfast that was so good. We are going to miss her and her cooking greatly.
Today we sadly parted ways. After breakfast we cleaned, packed up and headed back to the trail just after 10am. Rosemary drove us to the trailhead where we got off yesterday and we all began down the trail. Rosemary did a 4 mile trail run on the PCT to Sheep Lake, and Linda and Stef joined Balance and me for about a half mile before they turned around. It was time for sad goodbyes. How true is the saying "All good things come to an end". I don't know how to thank Linda and Stef enough. Their  generosity was amazing. Their visit has boosted our moral to an all time high.

We met Rosemary on trail as she did a run to Sheep Lake and back. More sad goodbyes. It's just as hard to thank Rosemary enough. She not only drove from her home in Marblemount, WA, which is a 5 to 6 hour drive to meet up with us, but she cooked the most incredible meals a hungry hiker could ever dream of. We plan to meet Rosemary again at Rainy Pass just 60 miles from the finish. So that's our motivation to keep hiking north - in just over two weeks we should see her again. This time much closer to her home and for us, much closer to the border.
Linda, Stef, and Rosemary, you have made our trip and brought smiles to our faces. We had an amazing day off exploring Mt. Rainier on a beautiful day, and they even joined us for 30 miles hiking. Thanks for the memories.
Alone now, Balance and I continued north on the PCT. As we climbed higher we ended up in a cloud. After a while it began to rain and we could only think back to the nice weather we just had with Balance's family. We marched on 18 miles and camped by a spring with light rain falling and the temperature dropping. It's going to be a cold night.

Our cabin at Whistlin' Jack Lodge. The five of us had the whole house to ourselves. What a place.

Sad goodbyes. See you soon Linda and Stef. We are going to miss you both. Thank you for everything.

Rosemary planned and organized this meeting and hiking with us. We know it was a lot of work and effort and we appreciate all of it. We had an awesome time. We can't wait to see you in two weeks. Thank you for all that you did.
