The Plan: To thru-hike the Pacific Crest Trail. The PCT is 2,663 miles long and ranges in elevation from just above sea level at the Oregon-Washington border to 13,153 feet at Forester Pass in the Sierra Nevadas. The route begins at the US-Mexican border and ends at the US-Canadian border. The PCT passes through 7 national parks and 25 national forests.
Our goal is to become Triple Crowners: AT, PCT, CDT.

PCT Gear Shakedown
Just one month until we head west and attempt a thru-hike of the PCT. Planning, gear, and food are our main concerns.
I'm looking forward to your journey. I'm wondering how you'll like that moonscape-like terrain that we drove through from San Diego to Palm Desert.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the opening pic of your blog!! Awesome shot of your AT hike. Already looking forward to reading your accounts from the trail.

PS The end of the PCT is quite blah by comparison.
ReplyDeleteAh, but it will be the end, which makes it epic by definition.
